Design Services Overview

New Build & Remodel

Initial Meeting:

Connect via phone call, email or in person. We.ll get to know each other, learn about your design and building goals and true architectural style.

Working the Plan:

We will work with your existing plans or create new plans with a compatible architect and builder. Floor plans will begin with ideating and sketching which will transform into CAD drawings including floor plans, electrical plans, structural drawings, elevations (including cabinet plans) and even landscape design.

Based on the plan we will create a meaningful budget. An experienced and educated allowance is created for each category of finish material that will fit your financial goals.

Once the initial floor plans are complete we will begin working on all finish selections that will be needed to complete the space; cabinet finishes and details, appliances, plumbing, doors and millwork details, flooring, tile, counter tops, audio video, wall finishes, fireplace materials, staircase materials, lighting and hardware.

Order Selections:

When finishes are completed and the project as a whole has been approved we order and track the final selections.

When the finishes arrive to the job site they are inspected and reviewed with the appropriate sub-contractor for their proper installation. For example, lighting boxes are opened and inspected and placements are verified including heights, etc. all overseen by Lynn Peterson Design.

Initial Meeting:

Whether we meet in person or Skype, we'll set goals and expectations for your design needs. We.ll get to know each other, learn about your design goals and true style.

Working the Plan:

We will work with your existing plans or create new plans. We will follow through the design vision to paper.

Based on the plan we will create a meaningful budget.

We will present the furniture plan along with furniture design, fabric and finishes, along with rugs, art, wall colors, etc. via Skype, mail or in person. If we are building or remodeling and more selections are needed to present we will create a cohesive package to review with the build/architectural team at least once and review as needed based on scale of project.

Re-work the plan:

After the first plan and finish review we will make adjustments as needed and new selections will be reviewed.

Deposit & Order:

When the plans are complete and furniture design is complete the sales orders will be created, a deposit is made by you and your furniture & misc. will be on its way to fabrication.

Delivery & Installation:

When everything comes into the delivery and storage facility at the city/town location of the residence, the items are reviewed, a delivery date is scheduled and an installation is planned.

* For a new build or remodel, when the finish selections arrive to the job site for installation the products are reviewed and inspected with the project manager/sub-contractor and all placements are verified. All over seen by Lynn Peterson Design.
